Heino Eller has told her students something along the lines of “you can spend time playing lighter music on Sunday afternoons”. True, many of her students made their whole weeks into Sunday afternoons. Nevertheless, the ones that remained were not untouched by contemporary pop music. EMD honors the teachings of this prolific composition professor and thus brings you a show of the classics of seriously lighter music.
