Countless performances of Erkki-Sven Tüür’s oeuvre have been given all over the world. However, this is perhaps the first occasion on which all the performers are school children. On one hand, this shows the universality and age-defying particularity of Tüür’s music. On the other, it shows the high school students’ high level of musical and technical ability. In addition to chamber pieces like „Conversio" and "Dedication" the Tallinn Music High School chamber orchestra, under conductor Risto Joosti, will also perform the cycle “Show”, which brought them the top prize at the „Youth and music in Vienna” contest in Austria in the summer of 2008.
