Arvo Pärt’s In Principio Nominated for Grammy

Arvo Pärt’s In Principio has been nominated for the Grammy Award in the Best Classical Contemporary Composition. According to Estonian Philcharmonic Chamber Choir, the recording candidates in the category of A Composer's Award for a contemporary classical composition.

In Principio was released by ECM. The album includes Pärt’s works In principio, La Sindone, Cecilia, vergine romana, Da pacem Domine, Mein Weg and Für Lennart in memoriam performed by the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Tõnu Kaljuste.
 
In 2007, the CD Arvo Pärt. Da Pacem received a Grammy Award (performer the EPCC under Paul Hillier) for the Best Choral Performance.
