On August 19, Ensemble Musikfabrik will present five Estonian composers in Cologne – Age Veeroos, Elis Hallik, Marianna Liik, Monika Mattiesen and Helena Tulve. The German premieres include Monika Mattiesen’s “Parallel Bridge” (2021), Age Veeroos’s “ich sehe Federn wachsen im Sand der Wüsten…” (“I see a bird’s feather growing in the desert sand…”, 2021), Marianna Liik’s “3 spins” (2021) and Born in Waves (2021) by Elis Hallik. The opening song of the concert is “stream” (2006) by Helena Tulve. The concert will take place in the ensemble’s studio in Cologne.

Ensemble Musikfabrik is one of the world’s leading contemporary music ensembles. The concert will be conducted by renowned contemporary music conductor Clement Power. The program was also performed by the same ensemble on October 23, 2021, at the opening concert of the AFEKT festival in the Noblessner Foundry.
