Rebeca Vilpuu began her composition studies at the Georg Ots Music School in Tallinn, first focusing on music theory and later on classical composition. In 2020, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in electroacoustic composition from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, followed by a Master’s degree in 2025. During her
studies, she also participated in the ERASMUS exchange program at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media in Germany.
Rebeca Vilpuu has composed electroacoustic, instrumental, and vocal music. In most of her works, acousmatic and instrumental music are intertwined.
In Estonia, Vilpuu’s works have been performed at festivals such as Tallinn Music Week, the Estonian Music Days, Commute, Müriaad, Sügisfestival, Treffpunkt, and Üle Heli, as well as in exhibitions held at the ERM participation hall and the Pärnu Contemporary Music Days. Internationally, her works have been presented at the
Mute Festival in Helsinki and as part of the Unerhörte Musik contemporary music concert series in Berlin.
