Composer Paul Beaudoin’s new album bright shining light will be released by Wandelweiser Recordings GmbH on 14 July 2026.
The album brings together Beaudoin’s complete organ works to 2026, performed by Carson Cooman, organist at Memorial Church, Harvard University. The release appears in the Edition Wandelweiser Records catalogue as EWR 2606.
Across five works, Beaudoin treats the organ as an acoustic body: breathing, sounding, filling space, and revealing the physical presence of sound. The music moves between fragile resonance, sustained intensity, harmonic pressure, stillness, and force.
The album includes bright shining light, et caecitas eorum lacrimas eis efficiet, notes of union and longing, stillness emerging, and grace abounding.
