Every Estonian composer or musicologist with higher education in this field can become a member of Estonian Composers’ Union. For that cause, it is necessary to fill an application form (the form is in Estonian).
The application form which you deliver to the board of Estonian Composers’ Union should include recommendations from two members of the union. Composers are asked to attach references with access to at least three musical examples or scores. Musicologists should provide at least three examples of scholarly writings in their field. It is also recommended to include a full (creative) CV as a separate attachment to the application.
The rights and commitments of ECU members are enacted by the Constitution of Estonian Composers’ Union (in Estonian).
The membership fee is €25, and members aged 65 and over are exempt from it.
